An angle brace connects to a structural steel beam oriented perpendicularly or parallel, utilizing a quarter-inch thick by five-foot by five-foot weld plate at each brace location. The angle brace is secured to the weld plate with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The metal deck is omitted from the view for clarity.
