The construction joint between an initial pour and a subsequent pour features a keyed interface with a three-quarter-inch V-groove containing sealant at the top surface. Additional number four continuous reinforcing bars run on each side of the joint, complemented by number four bars spaced at sixteen inches on center and three feet long placed at mid-depth. Top bars T2 or T5 extend two feet beyond the joint into the subsequent pour. Bottom reinforcing follows the structural plans, while post-tensioning tendons span continuously across the joint.
