A drift track profile matches the stud depth and accommodates two inches of in-plane wall drift in either direction beneath the support structure. Two powder-actuated fasteners per sixteen inches on center with a three-inch gauge secure the track to the support structure. A three-quarter-inch deflection gap is maintained at the head of the wall. Bridging option one or three is required at this location twelve inches maximum from the connection.
