Joists span up to thirty inches maximum parallel to an existing unreinforced masonry wall. A three-times timber ledger matches the joist size and anchors directly into the existing masonry. Three-quarter-inch diameter epoxy threaded rods spaced at thirty-two inches on center secure the ledger using Simpson BP plate washers unless noted otherwise. Joist hangers specified per schedule support the joists framing into the ledger.
