An angle brace connects perpendicular structural steel beams with a 3/8-inch by 6-inch plate welded to the beam flange using typical fillet welds. The angle brace is secured at each end with two 3/4-inch diameter bolts. A concrete slab over metal deck bears on the top flange of the supporting beam per plan. Additional connection details are referenced to specification section 05201.
