A wide-flange steel column connects to a base plate sized per schedule, welded at each flange with a complete joint penetration weld and at the web with a complete joint penetration weld. The base plate bears on a one-and-a-half-inch maximum layer of non-shrink grout set over the top of a concrete pile cap. Anchor rods extend one foot eight inches into the support with a debonded length as required.
