A buckling-restrained brace connection anchors to a concrete footing through a thick base plate and a sixteen-bolt anchor arrangement. Square plate washers measuring seven-eighths by six inches sit under the anchor bolt nuts, positioned above a four-inch non-shrink grout layer. A brace blockout in the concrete floor datum provides clearance for the heavy gusset plates, with blockout dimensions increased as required. Vertical anchor bolts feature two-inch diameters with specified embedment lengths, surrounded by number four ties spaced at four inches on center. A central grout hole is included in the base plate layout, and the foundation incorporates designated top of footing and bottom of footing datums.
