A buckling-restrained brace connects to the underside of a steel beam through a gusset plate welded between beam web stiffeners. The beam web features stiffener plates on each side at the brace intersection. Gusset stiffeners are added when required by the brace supplier. The buckling-restrained brace is provided per the brace supplier's design.
