This concrete wall construction joint assembly features a roughened surface with a one-quarter inch minimum amplitude between the first and second pours. A continuous two-by-four wood member creates an edge notch on the exposed face and must be removed prior to placing the second pour. Form ties span across the joint, with a maximum three-inch spacing from the joint line to the tie location and a half-inch clearance dimension. Reinforcing steel continues through the joint while formwork remains on both faces. When both faces are exposed, continuous two-by-four members are provided on both sides, and form ties are tightened after removing the wood blocks.
