A wide-flange column base connection utilizes a three-quarter-inch ASTM A36 base plate secured with four three-quarter-inch anchor bolts. One-half-inch ASTM A36 stiffener plates are welded to each side of the web, with their width matching the column flange above. A one-half-inch minimum shear tab connects via fillet welds, including quarter-inch and five-sixteenth-inch sizes as specified. Edge distance and bolt spacing adhere to typical AISC specifications.
