A concrete slab over metal deck bears on a wide flange steel beam with a specified slab depth and a two-inch overhang. A metal deck closure plate features a one-half-inch return and trim reinforcing along the perimeter edge. Flute deck closures are provided at the beam support, and a welded connection is detailed at the deck boundary.
