A hollow structural section canopy beam connects to a concrete wall via a steel plate embedded with anchor bolts. The assembly utilizes a 1/2" x 6-1/8" x 4-1/8" steel plate rated at 36 ksi, secured with four 3/4" diameter x 6" anchor bolts spaced at 8" on center each way. A 1/4" weld connects the structural steel member to the plate, with all welded edges ground smooth and prepared for prime and paint.
