A diagonal brace frames into the intersection of a wide flange column and wide flange beam at a designated work point. A three-eighths by four inch gusset plate connects the diagonal brace to the structural members. Five-sixteenths inch fillet welds secure the connection components, and the vertical legs of the angle below are trimmed as indicated.
