A floor joist system incorporates three-and-a-half-inch laminated strand lumber blocking between joists. A non-structural concrete topping is applied per plan, with the bottom of the wall connection specified per detail 7/S602. The pony wall assembly includes a top plate and sheathing sized per plan, with the top of the wall connection referencing 7/S602. A continuous CS16 strap is utilized at the wall transition. The pony wall is secured with H2.5A hurricane ties at each pressure-treated boundary member, fastened with 16d-short nails spaced at twelve inches on center.
