Multi-level concrete slabs and beams are supported by vertical shoring and reshores governed by strict curing time requirements. Freshly placed concrete at the top slab requires one hundred percent shoring for a minimum of five days before any reshoring sequence begins. Intermediate levels require varying durations of fifty to one hundred percent shoring at fourteen, twenty-one, and twenty-eight day thresholds against previously placed concrete. All shoring and reshoring operations must comply with ACI Standard Recommended Practice For Concrete Formwork ACI 347, prohibiting shore removal if concrete strength falls below specified twenty-eight day requirements.
