Boundary element reinforcement for a concrete wall adjacent to a door opening comprises eight number five vertical reinforcing bars supplemented by number four closed ties and crossed ties spaced at five inches on center. The concrete wall has a thickness of one foot two inches with a typical clear cover of one and one-half inches. Additional wall reinforcement is provided per the wall elevation and referenced to detail seven on sheet S5.04.
