This cold-formed steel detail establishes a drift and deflection joint between vertically aligned framing members. A SCAFCO 600T125-54 slotted deflection track accommodates vertical movement while securing the framing. A three-quarter-inch gap and three-quarter-inch drift allowance provide necessary clearance for structural displacement. A SCAFCO 600D250-54 stud connects to the track using a number ten screw positioned at the center of the drift track slots.
