The bottom connection of a non-load bearing concrete masonry unit wall ties into a concrete foundation or slab. Vertical dowels match the wall reinforcing and feature standard hooks with alternate bends, spaced according to the non-load bearing wall reinforcing schedule. The concrete surface is roughened to a minimum one-sixteenth inch amplitude for bond adhesion. A bond beam contains one continuous number five reinforcing bar along the length of the wall.
