Two distinct splice options are provided for connecting adjacent steel edge angles at building joints. Option 1 utilizes a complete joint penetration weld directly at the splice location between the abutting edge angles. Option 2 incorporates three-eighths-inch by one and one-half-inch by six-inch A529 Grade 50 steel splice plates on each leg of the angle, secured with three-sixteenths-inch typical fillet welds.
