A twelve-inch concrete masonry unit wall is fully supported at its base and set adjacent to a structural column or wall with an end-of-wall gap. The gap is filled with firestop or waterproofing material per the architectural drawings. Vertical reinforcement is installed per the CMU non-load bearing wall reinforcement schedule. U-bars match the size and spacing of the horizontal reinforcement.
