Foundation and threshold assembly at an opening in a concrete tilt-up wall panel. A concrete slab on grade bears on a concrete footing with foundation insulation and a keyway joint, thickened two inches at the panel or four inches at overhead door openings. Number four dowels measuring eighteen by thirty-six inches are spaced at eighteen inches on center, supplemented by a horizontal number four bar spanning the opening width. An embed angle measuring five by three and a half by five-sixteenths inches by five inches long is anchored with two half-inch diameter by twenty-four-inch dowel bar anchors and one three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch headed stud anchor. An attachment angle measuring four by three by three-eighths inches by four inches long connects to an embed plate measuring half by six by twelve inches with two three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch headed stud anchors, with all steel plates and angles coated with a minimum one-eighth-inch of bituminous cement after erection and welding. A one-and-a-half-inch layer of non-shrink grout is provided beneath components.
