A hollow structural section beam connects to a concrete support via an embedment plate curved to match the support geometry. The connection utilizes a 3/8-inch thick steel plate sized to match the hollow structural section beam dimension, secured with welded angles measuring 3x3x3/8 inches. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch size join the structural members and plates. Anchor studs welded to the back of the embedment plate provide anchorage into the concrete.
