A wide flange steel column base plate anchors to the top of a reinforced concrete pilaster using threaded anchor rods. The pilaster features horizontal ties spaced at one and a half inch clearance, with three number four ties positioned within the first five inches. A concrete slab on grade bears directly onto the haunch of the pilaster structure per plan specifications.
