A concrete grade beam includes longitudinal top and bottom bars, additional reinforcement bars, and perimeter stirrups sized per the structural schedule. Two number four dowels spaced at sixteen inches on center feature twelve inches of embedment into the grade beam and extend up into the adjacent slab. Number five bars are included on each face for grade beam depths greater than thirty inches. The width, depth, and reinforcing sizes are coordinated with the foundation schedule and finish grade.
