A bidder-designed roof tie-off anchor pipe mounts to a horizontal wide flange beam supported by full-depth stiffener plates welded to each side of the beam web. The connection is designed for a five thousand pound ultimate load or a three thousand one hundred twenty-five pound service load at a specified height above the top of steel in any direction. The base plate is welded to the support framing with fillet welds, and the intersecting wide flange framing is secured with bolted connections and fillet welds on three sides as typical.
