A wide-flange beam is supported by a hollow structural section column utilizing a half-inch thick seat plate matching the beam width welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides. Two three-quarter-inch diameter A325SC bolts secure the connection through the beam flange. Three-eighths-inch thick stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the beam web with quarter-inch fillet welds.
