A concrete slab poured over metal deck bears on a wide-flange beam with slab thickness and deck size specified per structural notes. A continuous 3-inch by 3-inch by 3/16-inch angle connects the wide-flange beam to a hollow structural section 14-inch by 4-inch by 3/16-inch perimeter tube. The angle is welded with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld spaced at twelve inches. Number four dowel bar anchors at twenty-four inches total length are spaced at eighteen inches on center.
