A structural steel roof deck bearing and bridging connection occurs at an 8-inch or 10-inch masonry wall. The metal roof deck bears on a continuous L3x3x1/4 angle oriented perpendicular to the deck flutes, anchored via embedded plates measuring 3/8-inch by 8-inch by 4-inches with two 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch heavy-duty structural anchors spaced at 32 inches on center. Two continuous reinforcing bars at the deck bearing match the horizontal wall reinforcing. Additional framing includes a steel beam featuring web stiffeners on each side and a 1/2-inch by 8-inch by 10-inch steel plate with a 4-inch diameter centered hole. A seismic isolation joint is located at the wall interface, and bridging occurs as specified by the joist supplier.
