Vertical hanger wires and support wires attach directly to the bottom chord of an existing steel bar joist. The saddle tie features a double loop at the support with wires spaced within six inches maximum of web members. Hanger wires require three tight turns, while bracing wires require four tight turns. Splay wires run parallel to the joist only and cannot be perpendicular. The maximum load per hanger is fifty pounds.
