A wide flange beam connects to a gusset plate located at the structural gridline, utilizing a bolted shear tab and a half-inch doubler plate. The connection is welded with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld as indicated by the weld symbol. The beam is skewed if needed to match the centerline of the gusset plate.
