A three-eighths-inch by three-inch stiffener plate welds to the support web with five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds typically on three sides. A connecting plate measuring three-eighths-inch uses two three-quarter-inch-diameter erection bolts with three-sixteenths-inch welds on three sides.
