A concrete shear wall connection is reinforced with tie rods having an eight-inch embedment length. Two number five reinforcing bars are placed symmetrically around the tie rod on one side, with dimensions of 18.5 inches, 14.5 inches, and a 4-inch segment. Three number five reinforcing bars are placed symmetrically around the tie rod on the opposing side, with dimensions of 18.75 inches, 13.25 inches, and a 6.5-inch segment. Boundary studs are positioned on each side of the wall assembly. A minimum clearance of 4.5 inches is maintained.
