A tower crane embed assembly is anchored within a concrete mat foundation with double reinforcing bars placed on each side. The embed includes structural steel columns set on base plates with concrete shims specified per the crane manufacturer. Vertical ties with T-heads are integrated into the mat foundation above a two-inch rat slab. Reinforcement is shifted clear around the tower embed as required, and the embed is cut off and ground flush with the mat after tower decommissioning.
