This connection details horizontal bridging anchored to a structural wall using two and a half by two and a half by three-sixteenths inch by four inch angles secured with one-half inch diameter expansion bolts. The horizontal bridging is furnished in twenty-foot or twenty-five-foot lengths, cut to suit in the field, and requires a minimum lap of two inches. All connections are field welded, and the bridging size and frequency are determined by the joist manufacturer and submitted for engineer of record review.
