A stair stringer connects to a slab on grade featuring a four-inch lightweight concrete slab with an f'c of four thousand pounds per square inch and a density of one hundred fifteen pounds per cubic foot. The assembly is reinforced with number four bars spaced at twelve inches each way at center line, alongside styrofoam insulation with a seven pound per square inch minimum compressive strength. Additional reinforcement includes number six bars and standard hooks with four-inch concrete walls on each way. A concrete topping slab is provided with reinforcing specified on structural drawings, and an allowable live load of one hundred pounds per square foot is maintained.
