Elevator spreader beam connections anchor hollow structural section members to concrete walls and concrete slabs using an embed plate measuring 1/2 inch by 8 inches by 1 foot 2 inches equipped with four 1/2 inch diameter by 6 inch studs. Connection angles sized at L4x3x5/16 by 0'-6" on each side feature slotted holes and are fastened using two 7/8 inch diameter ASTM A325 bolts. Additional reinforcement includes number 4 U-bars provided where dimensions Ht or He are six inches or less, along with supplemental number 4 rebar spaced at 4 inches on center.
