Hollow structural section beams connect to a wide flange column stub using a half-inch end plate welded with five-sixteenth-inch typical fillet welds. Half-inch connection plates secure each side with three three-quarter-inch diameter A325N bolts. A wide flange column supports the assembly per plan. The contractor must coordinate hollow structural section beam locations and elevations with Tahu equipment prior to fabricating the column connection.
