Hollow structural section framing occurs at an angled wall pier relative to an eight-inch cold-formed steel stud wall and slab edge. Vertical hollow structural sections span the full height of the angled pier, supported by horizontal hollow structural section members welded with typical five-sixteenth fillet welds. An HSS 4x4x1/4 diagonal member occurs every other bay, connected with three-sixteenth fillet welds typical. Dimensions locate the cold-formed steel stud wall ten inches from the grid line and one foot five and one-half inches from the slab edge.
