A wide flange transfer beam supports an upper wide flange column resting on a base plate per schedule. The transfer beam connects to a primary wide flange column using a bolted connection with typical spacing dimensions. Stiffener plates are welded to the beam web and flanges as detailed in the column base plate specifications. Additional web doubler plates are installed as required by plan to reinforce the transfer beam web. Minimum extension dimensions and clearance callouts govern the layout of the transfer system.
