A wide-flange beam connects to a vertical HSS 8x8x1/4 by 2 feet 4 inches hollow structural section column via a 1x10 1/2 by 1 foot 0 inches cap plate. The cap plate is secured with two three-quarter-inch diameter erection bolts at the beam gage and welded to the WF beam with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The HSS column is flanked by angle embeds secured by three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolts centered in 2-inch long slotted holes with nuts finger-tightened and threads marred. Additional support at the panel joint includes tie plates and a ledger splice per sheet 11/S6.1.
