A two-inch concrete tread is placed within a typical twelve gauge metal pan, with geometry determined per architectural drawings. The metal pan connects to the stair stringer via a one-eighth-inch fillet weld spaced at six inches for the pan-to-stringer connection, and four to twelve inches for the tread-to-tread connection. A guard rail post is anchored directly to the assembly per architectural requirements, and tread dimensions are coordinated with architectural drawings.
