A structural steel beam connects to buckling-restrained braces through a gusset plate welded to the underside of the beam. Four total web stiffeners align with the brace intersection, with middle stiffeners offset up to one foot maximum to avoid conflicts with sprinkler branches. Welds and plate sizes are sized per sheet SB-3, and the braces are installed per detail 15/SD.4.
