An exterior slab on grade is tied to a concrete wall using 15M dowels spaced at 600 millimeters, or two feet, embedded 100 millimeters, or 4 inches, into the wall with Hilti HIT-HY200 adhesive. Joint filler is installed in the gap between the exterior slab and the adjacent interior slab on grade. The exterior slab has a thickness of 40 millimeters, or 1 1/2 inches, above the dowel alignment. The concrete wall thickness and slab dimensions are sized per plan.
