A reinforced concrete masonry unit retaining wall is supported by a cast-in-place concrete footing. The wall incorporates fully grouted cells with vertical "A" bars spaced at sixteen inches on center and horizontal #4 bars spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The footing features a continuous control key, bottom continuous reinforcement, and dowels tying into the vertical wall reinforcement. Material strengths are specified as f'm equal to 1500 PSI for masonry, f'c equal to 2500 PSI for concrete, and fy equal to Grade 60 for reinforcing steel.
