A special moment frame reduced beam section joint connection at the roof level frames into a wide-flange column flange. A wide-flange beam connects to the column with continuity plates aligned with the beam flanges. A three-sided doubler plate and a three-eighths-inch full depth plate between the column web stiffeners reinforce the column web panel zone.
