An embedded Schedule 40 pipe is cast within a concrete mat slab and wrapped in one-quarter-inch compressible material. The pipe diameter is limited to a maximum of one-third of the slab thickness 'T', which has a maximum depth of one foot six inches below the slab profile. The assembly is reinforced with number five bars spaced to match the mat slab reinforcement, maintaining a one-and-a-half-inch concrete clearance and a six-inch typical dimension from the pipe exterior.
