A steel stringer bears onto a slab on grade or finished grade assembly with an L3x3x1/4 angle bracket. The angle connects to the slab using three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch expansion anchors at each stringer, typical. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld on three sides secures the stringer to the angle as shown. The slab on grade thickens at the connection per the structural plan.
