An angle spanning between wide-flange beams accommodates a change of direction in composite steel floor decking. The framing angle is sized based on span length: an L3x3x1/4 angle for spans up to six feet, an L4x4x3/8 angle for spans up to ten feet, or an L5x5x1/2 angle for spans up to fourteen feet. Each end of the angle connects to a three-eighths-inch plate welded to the supporting wide-flange beam with quarter-inch fillet welds on each end. The concrete slab on metal deck bears across the assembly.
