This structural steel detail shows two configurations for connecting filler beams to wide flange support beams using structural tees. The first connection welds a wide flange beam to another wide flange beam using a quarter-inch fillet weld spaced at three inches by twelve inches. The second connection features a structural tee supported by a wide flange beam, reinforced with quarter-inch stiffener plates on each side spaced at four feet and located six inches from each end of the structural tee. Three-sixteenths inch fillet welds secure the structural tee to the supporting beam.
