A wide flange cantilever beam frames into a wide flange column with top and bottom plates sized per schedule. Stiffener plates are welded to each side of the column web, matching the thickness of the top and bottom plates and centered on them. A shear plate with erection bolts connects the web of the beam to the column, complemented by fillet welds specified by length and size on each side. Additional shear tabs are provided for perpendicular framing where required. A dimension table relates the column distance K to dimension X for plate layout.
